Figured Bass Accidentals displaying over numbers

Hi - I'm using Finale 2014.5 on a Mac with OS X.11.6

I'm trying to do figured bass for the first time through the lyrics tool.

When I enter a figure with an added accidental, the accidental displays on top of the number, instead of beside it.

How do I get it to go beside? Also, can I choose before or after the numbers?

If you need to place a character (e. g. an accidental) to the right of the number, type ~ (tilde), then type the character.
