Ok, so I made my coda. My piece starts in 6/8 then switches to 4/4 when it goes to the DS, it's back to 6/8 and the coda is in 6/8

When I did the coda setup, it automatically made the coda in 4/4 because the previous measure (the DC al coda) was in 4/4. I had to manually add the 6/8 measure to the coda. is that correct form or should it be assumed because the measure that is played before going to the coda is in 6/8?

Second, somehow when I used the "create coda system," I must have set it up so that the measures can't be size adjusted. I've never seen those grey lock things. The measure are too tight and I want them to expand below but it won't let me.

Any ideas would be greatly appreciated as they always are. Thanks

1) If you are already in 6/8 before the coda, adding the 6/8 in the coda doesn't seem necessary to me.
2) Selection tool. Select a measure to send it to the next system with the down arrow key.
Don't forget to respace, and do an "update layout".

Well, remember, the measure on the paper before the coda is in 4/4 then it hits a DS which is in 6/8. The last measure that is PLAYED before the coda is in 6/8.

I will try to adjust the measures as you suggest. Thanks

I would keep the courtesy time change, even though I agree that it isn't needed. It costs nothing, and it might prevent a mistake.
