Hi everyone
Sadly, Finale 2012 is no longer eligible for support. I have an issue with unwanted hyphens appearing below the second staff of a two-staff system. There's melody on both staves but it's a duet with the same notes. I used 'click the notehead' to enter these lyrics. I'm still trying to figure out which system of lyric entry is better - click the notehead or type into score. An issue I'm having is that the client keeps changing individual lines in the lyric and I find that trying to implement these changes sometimes causes things to go haywire.
The hyphens which appropriately appear in the line of lyrics I entered also appear below the second staff. Looked in the manual and online but can't find a solution. Can anyone help me get rid of the hyphens below the second system without messing up the lyrics above? Thanks, Nick

I suspect it's an issue with verse selection.

Hello miker and thanks for the quick response. I am attempting to attach a zipped file here.
Great to know you have a theory about what's going on. Any suggestions as to a solution?
EDIT: Used the 'Upload attachment' tab on the response composition screen, chose a compressed file, clicked upload, but unfortunately it's not appearing here.

miker, cannot thank you enough for your help. I fixed my issue and learned a lot about how to make my lyrics look right and how to use the lyric tool. You were right, fixing everything was actually very fast using the tricks you gave me.
