So, I have all of the notation entered for my current piece. It starts out in 6/8 at Dotted Quarter = 70 during the middle, it switches to 4/4 at Quarter = 70.

There is a DS al coda which goes back to measure 5 in the section in 6/8

During playback, Finale does not revert to the original tempo. I am pretty sure I don't need to put a tempo marking in the text, as the piano player would know. Plus the actual tempo is the same, only what receives the beat changes.

Put the marking in. If the tempo change works correctly, you can hide the marking.

Right-click>uncheck "show"
