I'm using Songwriter 2012 in Windows 7

I'm mostly writing for 4 voices, with two in the treble clef and two in the bass.
The ties in the treble clef are fine, but in the bass clef they are in the wrong direction and I haven't been able to find a way of flipping them as you can with slurs. As I don't need to use Midi, I know I could replace the ties with slurs, but it's not ideal.

Any suggestions most welcome.

I'm on a Mac, but I had no trouble flipping the tie. Select the first note, and CMD-F flips it. (CTRL-F on Windows?)
If that isn't the correct command, look in the Simple menu>Simple Edit Commands>Modify Entry>Flip Tie

Thank you so much Miker. That works. I didn't see any reference to that in the manual.

If you write the Bass in Layer 2, this should be done automatically, when there are notes in the Tenor Layer 1.
