Hi all,

Just a quick question (to which I think I already know the answer).

F25 is a new install, thus I can continue to run F14.5 alongside it. It doesn't overwrite previous versions, does it?

With thanks,
ANDREW

You can have as many versions as you like. I have about 6 of them on the Mac.

Ronald J Brown wrote:Just be aware that though you used to be able to have several different versions on your machine, beginning with F 25 they appear to have changed that so that each new upgrade overwrites the previous version. It now appears just as "Finale," not "Finale 2014," or "Finale 2008." I don't know how far they will extend this. For example, will Finale 26--or whatever the next version will be called--overwrite Finale 25?
My 2 cents:
When Finale v26 has arrived, there will be no more updates to v25.
Hence it is safe to rename it from “Finale” to e. g. “Finale v25”.
I do not think that the Finale v26 installer will overwrite a program named “Finale v25”.

That's a really good point Ronald, and thanks for pointing that out. Important to bear that in mind for the future!
