Hello,
do someone can tell me if in the new 64 bits version of Finale the limit of 32,767 active frames each document has been overcome?
In the 32bit version the note entry ID is a signed 32bit, so you can have a maximum of 2147483647 notes/rests in each document, I wonder if this issue has been solved in the new 64bit version.
Thanks

I think that's one for either tech support, or, keep writing till you get there!

Sadly, No. The limit still applies.

Out of curiosity, how did you determine that?

It's usually safe to assume that the answer to "Has X been fixed?" is "No."

I don't disagree, but I wonder how BT can be so sure?

Well, I had the chance to test it with a big file of mine.
Actually -and unfortunately- the limit is still there...
Quite disappointing...

MM confirmed it to me when I asked.

If you open a huge file in Fin25, you can still see the limit:
when going past 32768 items, it becomes a negative number in the file statistics.

Ronald J Brown wrote:The fact that it becomes a negative number is worrisome. It means they have allocated only 16 bits for counting frames
It could also be just the display function which displays an internally correct number erroneous. Who knows? In any way, not very trustworthy.
