Hi; Does anyone have or know of a music basics sheet that I could freely use in my new beginner trumpet book?
Would show the basics; treble clef, time sig, note values, etc.

Thanks!!~

Eb

Put it together, yourself. There may be one out there somewhere, but you can create your own in less time than you will spend looking for it!

Finale has Worksheets that come with the program. They are copyrighted, but you can inquire as to using them by contacting MakeMusic.

Thank you both. I am working on it myself, but the graphics are a bit challenging and I don't know that Finale has the capability to do what I need.
Where do I access the documents in Finale?

Thanks!!~

In the File Menu, Open Worksheets & Repertoire. Select the Worksheets folder. I can't say these have anything close to what you want, but it's worth looking at. You might be able to cull ideas from there, at least. Personally, I didn't like the look of there dashed treble Clef, so I modified it for my use. The files might lead to some ideas. Otherwise, there are many websites with pdfs of music basics. Whether any of them are free to use I can't say.

Well, I guess 2009 doesn't have those. I purchased every upgrade since I started with 3.1, but I chose to stick with 2005 until 2011 came along. I think a change of computer prompted me to make the plunge to 2011. So, 2006-2010 are still on the shelf.

If you can post a picture, even hand drawn, of what you want, I'm sure we can point you in the right direction.

ebjazz,

From your description, these items all sound like font characters which are available in Finale. Just look up the keystroke commands for what characters you need. You should be able to create this document in Finale, a desktop publishing program, even a word document.
