Hi everyone,
I'm trying to merge several staves of Drum Set notation into one, and every time I try to implode two staves together, many of the notes are transposed to seemingly random places, usually out-of-range. I'm on Finale v25, OS X 10.11.6.

Apologies for the spaces in the link - this being my first post, I'm not allowed to use URLs yet.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
Matt.

I can't seem to duplicate the problem. We might need to see an actual Finale file so we can test it ourselves.

P.S.: Just guessing: it appears the 2 staves are using 2 different layouts, thus the result.

Okay, but she's a bit of a mess at the moment, I've been copying-and-pasting from another document, in the process of arranging this piece for new instrumentation.
The drum track from the original file was all in one voice, so I've been splitting it apart in order to sort different notes into a respective hand (upper) or foot (lower) voice. At this stage, Drum Set #1 and #3 will become one voice on one staff, and #2 and #4 will do the same. Then, they will be combined to make one staff with two voices, on layers one and two.
Currently, any use of "implode music" creates the results seen in the screenshots.
Hopefully that makes sense.

Again, apologies about the link. My file exceeds the attachment size, and compressing makes an even bigger file.

In the picture you posted, it looks like one staff was in a different layer. So, when I tried changing the 4 measures in your file to look like the picture, and imploded the 2 staves, it did look like your results. I then used Retranscribe on the result, and all looked well. Try that as part of your procedure.

Ah, sorry about that discrepancy, I was messing about with layers to if that affected the result (it doesn't).
Thank you for your suggestion to use Retranscribe, I was unaware of it. It mostly fixes the issue, except that it doesn't seem to differentiate between different note heads, eg. hihat open vs hihat closed. Any idea how to work around that?
Thanks very much for your help.
EDIT: See bars 45-48 for an example of this.

I believe the notehead you see changed mas modified manually at some point. When imploding, the process changes it to the notehead assigned according to the Layout. If you want that notehead instead, you can change it in the Layout and it should stick in all occurrences.
