I'm preparing parts, with measure numbers at the beginning of each line. Obviously, to sit above the Treble Clef, the number has to be quite high, but in parts with bass or alto clefs, the number could do with coming back down a bit.

Is there a way to adjust the position per part? Or any other suggestions for placement.

As parts will be different (clefs, a.o.), doing some editing in the parts seems to be the way to go. It can be done rather quickly. In the Measure tool, you can "draw" a rectangle over all the numbers of a page to select their handles and use the arrows to move them all.
P.S. : Edit Measure Regions -> Linked parts -> Position : set the position to suit the majority of instruments.

Once Jari has plugins for Mac, this can be done easily. We have a small set of beta for Windows, which has the Measure Numbers plugin. There, you move one, and then align all the rest to that one throughout the part.

If you have 2014.5 or 2014, and want to try it, open in that version and use the plugin there, as Jari has the plugin available for those versions for Mac.

Zuill, could you please explain in more details how to use the plug-in ? Thanks.

Has anyone spoken to or heard from Jari?

You could also open the file and print out all of the treble clef parts, where the number appears as desired. Then, adjust the measure number positioning for the bass and alto clef parts and print just those. Put the file away without saving.

But yes, the Jari plugin sounds like the ultimate solution.

In the chosen part, move the first number either up or down as needed. them in the plugin, in the Positions tab, either Align to Bottom or Align to Top, depending on which way you moved it. For example, if you moved the first number up, and you want all of them to be moved up, choose Align to Top.
