I've created several Finale Scripts which I used successfully on my score, but when I go to "Edit part", and try to use my scripts, the scripts are not available. They are all grayed out. Am I missing something?

If you open the script palette while in the score, you can switch to a part and it stays open, where it may or may not work.

Thanks. I decided to generate the parts and work with that.

Did you mean "extract parts"? I assumed in your first post that you had already generated parts.

In order to edit a part, it has to be generated. So, either it was already generated when setting up the file with the wizard, or it was in a template that had parts generated. So, now I am confused about what you are doing.

You can open two windows of the same score. One shows score one shows your part. Go to score and apply the script, and you can watch what happens in the part directly.
Many of us never use double window. It is extremely useful, for instance when one works in Scroll and can see in Page what happens.
