I have numerous measures that have a repeating line inside. The measures have hidden rests, but the line means "keep playing".
Since the score is very large it easily happens that measures are "hidden when empty".
What can I insert in "empty" measures to prevent from hiding?
prevent hide when empty

I'm not sure I understand. If there is a real rest, but hidden, it shouldn't hide since it is not empty. maybe we need a sample are clearer explanation of the need and errant result.

Instead of entering hidden rests, use a custom staff style that de-selects “Allow Hiding When Empty”.OCTO wrote:I have numerous measures that have a repeating line inside. The measures have hidden rests, but the line means "keep playing".

You can also let the same staff style do other things, e. g. applying Blank Notation, or, not displaying rests.

Yes. I just tested it and you are correct. Peter's suggestion works though. Try doing that.OCTO wrote:It hides anyway, doesn't it?zuill wrote:If there is a real rest, but hidden, it shouldn't hide since it is not empty.
