change shortcut

Is it possible to change the Relink in all parts shortcut (Alt Ctrl Shift L) to some other key?
I don't consider two-hands shortcut as a shortcut.

It might be possible to do it within Finale, and this might be OT, but do you use a macro program? One can often do things like that very easily with Keyboard Maestro.

I see that Keyboard Maestro is for Mac. Is there a Windows equivalent? One can often do things like that very easily with Keyboard Maestro.

AutoHotKey comes to mind. I think it is the best solution, but there is a learning curve.

AutoIt is a nice alternative. I have looked, but never used it.

Actually, that is the mouse menu; not available at the main menu. Maybe there is another workaround?Harpsi wrote:Maybe it is possible with TG Tools full version "Options". I believe you can remap keys there.
I might check some scripts, but so far meeting deadline this will wait. I just hopet there was a simple solution.

motet,
I agree with OCTO. The remapping is accomplished, but it does nothing. In fact pressing CTRL-ALT-SHIFT-L or U with an item selected to relink/unlink does nothing. It only works for me when you choose the appropriate option from the context menu. What say you?

FinaleScript is problemmatic, though.
Here is it before (unlinked--yellow) and after (linked--green) using the above shortcut. Full TGTools. You have to select it! (which I neglected to show here.)
If Octo is using some kind of Windows environment on a Mac, that might explain it. As for Charles, perhaps it's now broken in F25. The fact that you say pressing CTRL-ALT-SHIFT-L or U don't work tells me either there's no part it's linked to or something else is broken.

My apologies. I went back and tried it again, and lo and behold it works now! I don't know what I was doing wrong. BTW, now the TGTools shortcut, the context menu, and pressing the keyboard keys all work, even in F25.2

There's also Jari Williamson's Finaletweak, which remaps the Speedy Keys portion of the Finale.ini file. I hope that customization will still be available in 25.2 and beyond, or else I may never upgrade beyond 2014.5

What is this "Finaletweak" you speak of? I don't think I have ever seen it. Is it a JW Lua script? I thought I had kept up with all JW stuff, but I must have missed that one.Perotinus wrote:There's also Jari Williamson's Finaletweak, which remaps the Speedy Keys portion of the Finale.ini file. Hi, Charles,
Look for it here:
http://www.jwmusic.nu/finaletweak.html
It supposedly wasn't supposed to work with later versions of Finale, but it has still done its job for me up to 2014.5. I think the only thing you have to make sure of, is that Finaletweak needs to reside in the same folder as "finale.ini," not "finale.exe."

Thanks Perotinus. I seem to recall having seen that page in the distant past. I never saw any need for the tools that were on it, but I did experiment with Forza! before it was abandoned/superseded. Somehow I don't think developing this utility for 64 bit is very high on JW's to do list. And like motet says, I cannot see how it would help in this case.

I think i did opposite, I see now two verb terms, one is "replace" another is "replaced by".motet wrote:Did you get this to work, Octo?

Gogreen, here is another one for Windows: http://www.macrocreator.com
Don't know a thing about that one, but I do know that using a macro program is the best decision I've made in a long time! And there was no learning curve at all for Keyboard Maestro. What a time saver!
