While selecting the right or left box of a selected hairpin, my arrow nudging does not work. On the ones that work, if I select the right box of the hairpin and nudge to the right, it goes left. Up and down works fine. This just started happening out of the blue.
Ups, the up and down does not always work either.

This is possibly a variant of the 'stuck key syndrome' usually cured (for the time being) by relaunching Finale, or if that fails by restarting the computer. Before doing either of those, you could try a high speed repetition, quasi tremolo, of each of the nudge keys in turn while in the smart shape tool.

Are you using "Independent Time Signatures"? They can cause hairpins to be unstable.

Yes, I restarted Finale and that worked.David Ward wrote:This is possibly a variant of the 'stuck key syndrome' usually cured (for the time being) by relaunching Finale, or if that fails by restarting the computer.
