On PC/Windows I used the backspace key to remove manual adjustments of Articulations, Expressions and slurs.
What is the equivalent on OS X? I can just delete objects with the backspace and I tried all with the combination keys.

What is the shortcut for Remove Manual Adjustments?

I recommend using the manual, specifically

https://usermanuals.finalemusic.com/Fin ... Clicks.htm

Looks like there's a key labelled "Clear."

Or, right click on handle and choose "Remove Manual Adjustments".

The equivalent in Mac Finale is the Clear key on the NumPad.

The problem being that there is no Clear key on Mac keyboards that don't have Number Pads, i.e. laptops and short keyboards.

Apple refuses to provide a shortcut, and MM have not yet advanced an alternative key press, such as FN-delete or Alt-delete.

Isn't there some built-in macro program on the Mac? Would that help?

Yes. In the appropriate tool, select either one handle or mass select several, and then control click (right click) on any selected handle to apply Remove Manual Adjustments. That seems to work on a MacBook as easily as using the clear key on a full keyboard, but does require one more step.

Take a look at this discussion from the old Make Music forum-

Yes, I use MacBook Pro, and I don't have the full keyboard.
The problem is that I want to use as little as possible working with mouse. Select with pointer and hit clear on the keyboard would be the most convenient, rather to go through menus with several clicks.
In very large scores with thousends of items it would be really helpful.

How to do that with Articulations? There is no that option. I am not sure why, but it seems to be an omission in coding. If you want to clear manual position of Articulation on OS X you need to delete them and to re-enter. That is not so user friendly.

Being a keyboard person myself, I feel your pain.
Have a look at Utilities>Change>Articulations. In that dialogue I think you have an option for positioning (resetting) articulations. On windows it is easily accessed by <alt l c enter>, on OSX I do not know.

You're right. To delete and re-enter is not really a sensible option. Which brings us back to the "Clear" key. You should investigate a numeric keypad for Mac, like this-

Octo,

I also use a Macbook Pro with the built in keyboard and have the same problem with no clear key. SF gave me a shortcut years ago which simply triggers the clear key, even though none physicially exists.

Yes, that's exactly the "Quickeys" solution (which can be found in the old forum link) which I suggested some time ago. It simply replaces the Clear key (which doesn't physically exist) with a substitution keyboard shortcut.
