I create staff styles to cover different percussion names, clefs and staff lines.
However, I need to change from one to another instrument in the middle of one measure. But they are in conflict, allowing me only one style.
What is workaround?

I can't imagine a situation where a Staff Style wouldn't work. Maybe we need to see a sample file to play with to get the right look.

Octo, you can usually apply a staff style to a partial measure.

I can't. I get information that I can apply staff style to the whole measure only.
Maybe because I use the custom staff name?

Oh, could be. Why not experiment? What else does the staff style do? Perhaps a duplicate style for partial measures without the name?

...That doesn't appear to be it. You may need to show us what you're doing. If you're changing the number of staff lines or something like that, I can see how that might not work. As a last resort you could split the measure in two with the Split Measure plug-in.

Here's a picture of 4 staff styles in 2 measures.

I think I have seen "this must be applied to full measures" but I don't remember which that was.
