Screen flips around way too much, and

clicking to Highlite Handles on F25/Sierra is very annoying.
Is it a bug worth reporting?
I've had to click as many as 10 times to get a Smart Shape or click on a Handle.
The screen jumps way a LOT, including jumping back to the beginning.
That causes mis-placed Shapes and such, and pisses me off generally!
On Sierra, I have to double-click several times just to open Folders.
So is it a Mac problem, or Finale?

Welcome, old friend.
Has this always happened on your current setup or is this something new? All files or just one? It sounds sort of like an update layout problem, with the lack of response selecting items and the jumping back to the beginning. Is auto update on? Try also manual updating with Command-U.
If these don't work, maybe you should renew the preferences. I'm sure others will respond with additional ideas.

Auto Update is on, and I update from time to time when Saving.
The Flipping used too happen a little, but since going for 2012 to F25, the flipping is way worse, and the ability to click on handles or apply Smart Shapes and Expressions is very problematical, and stopping Playback takes several tries, almost always.
It has crashed a few times while applying Expressions.
I'll try resetting Prefs, but all seems normal, except for what I've described.
Playback is very good in 24/96 and an Outboard Dac.

Could you screen video this? I can't think what it could be. I occasionally see some weirdness in Book Column Style, when it gets confused about where Page 1 should be.
But I would certainly report it to MM. All bugs are worth reporting.

"Mac" covers a lot of machines. Could you be more specific? What hardware? What input device do you use? What OS?
I may know what's going on—if I'm right, it has nothing to do with Finale but I won't know till you answer the above.

OK... nothing... well, I have a little side business where I maintain a number of Macs in schools and offices and I've seen this before, just not with Finale.
From your symptoms, it appears that another input device may have access through your Mac via bluetooth. If it's not nearby, it will affect your documents the way you describe. Check to see that only your devices are properly paired in the BT control panel. If you are using wired input devices, turn bluetooth off and see if that fixes the problem.
I see this a lot in offices and schools—it was really bad in OS 10.7 but it still occurs. The first time was when my wife's iMac was picking up my neighbor's BT mouse. It took hours with three AppleCare techs before someone asked, "what happens when you turn off bluetooth?" and we found the problem,
The other thing that comes to mind is that your mouse/trackpad settings ate too fast or too coarse.
I could be wrong, of course, but you've not given enough information for any other conclusion.

OK!
I have an iMac, Sierra 10.12.3, 3.2 GH Processor, 16GB Ram, 2TB HD.
I use a Blue Tooth Mouse, and tried the Wired Mouse.
I just use Simple Entry and for Notes everything is fine, just using Smart Shapes, Expressions
and stopping playback have been annoying.
Also, generally, opening folders can take several clicks.
TIA!
Oh, F25.2.
