Hi all,
Apologies for being off-topic...
I have before me guidelines for a European composer competition requiring composers to use a nom de plume.
I am wondering if I should use the name of a flower or a bird, or something like that? Choosing the perfect nom de plume is harder than writing the score!
Hector Pascal.

Thanks, ttw, I will get my thesaurus out. Having never been a judge, I wasn't sure what others use! (lol Q.R.M. Bach!)

I used to occasionally use "Elton J. Hogarth"; I'm not telling you my current one ...

How about Song Grinski, which oddly enough is an anagram of Grossingink.
Oops, I just noticed that it was Hector Pascal who started this thread. In that case, I would go with this anagram:
Carol Hepcats.

I sometimes use either my grandfather's name, or my middle name plus "Angharad," a character's name from the movie "How Green Was My Valley," which I think is pretty.

When in doubt, do as was done into the 18th Century: "Latinize" it.
A quick Google search will turn up hundreds of sites that offer suggestions—ok, mostly for gamers but you don't have to pick something war-like. Have fun.
No, I'm not telling the name I use either.
