Finale 2012 and Windows

I've two treble staves and I'm putting the lyrics between them as the rythmn is the same in each. The single line of lyrics was working well. I came back to finish the next half of the piece and now the lyrics all go up INTO the staff, ABOVE the notes, rather than between the staves as they did the evening before.

I'm baffled.... any guidance?

Maybe you changed to a different verse.

After you select "Type into Score", click ON the note that you want the lyrics to be positioned under. The blinking cursor should then appear at the proper location.
And as Zuill suggests, make sure you are in the proper verse.
