Hi e'budy.
I am trying to install finale 2007 on my new win7 computer. I have uninstalled it on my other computer so there should be no problems.
However I keep getting the register notice after I register. I really need this software on my system.
What do I need to do?
thx.

Though, because it's 10-year-old software, they may not offer much in the way of support.

There have been considerable changes to Finale in the 10 years since 2007: an upgrade would no doubt solve compatibility problems, give yo better support, and introduce a world of productivity improvements. I remember F2007, and it was "not great".

Though technical support has expired, registration doesn't, so they should help you if you don't want to upgrade.

IIRC, the current licensing scheme was in place back in 2007. If that's the case, then the answer is clear. You didn't de-authorize the installation. Removing the software doesn't tell the license server to release the authorization.

You will have to contact MM on the official site. Go to the Submit a Request link and tell MM what happened—include your serial number and correct email address. They need to reset the license server for you.

Do not post this on the support board—other users cannot help you. Likewise, do not post private info on the public board, only in the Submit a Request link.

Agree as above. Contact MM's support, they SHOULD give you help even if it is an older version.

Not quite. It was a great step forward actually:
New for 2007: Linked Parts - intelligently link your score and parts to save time
New for 2007: Mac/Intel Support
New for 2007: Video Support - import video plus send and display SMPTE time code
www.notat.io - A Forum devoted to the Practice of Music Notation

It had some new features, but it also had many frustrating bugs. Go back to the old forum and see the scorn!
But it's ancient history now.

Ancient? Migawd, 10 years is nearly prehistoric when talking about software.

...says he who still has 1998 and 2002 installed on a G4.

I still use 2005 for some things. The never versions are definitely better, though.
