This question applies to any version of Finale up to 2012c for Windows.

This is the situation:

Staff system ends with a text repeat (DC al Coda). The next measure is the beginning measure of the Coda, which is in a different Key and a different Time signature. The target measure (Measure #1) is also in a different Key, but in the same time signature. The staff system ends with a cautionary key and time signature, BUT they are the key and time of the next measure (the Coda measure). Is there a way to get a cautionary signature for the target measure of a text repeat instead of the next measure in the score.

This is a unique situation. Changing the document options does not help. I don't want any document-wide changes. There is no way to separate cautionary key and time signatures in the measure attribute box.

Any other suggestions?

Thanks,
BKW

I think you would need to use the measure attribute to turn them off and then roll your own cautionaries with expressions.

You can also add a measure after the text repeat with the target key sig then hide it. The cautionary key sig will be correct.

It can be done with an extra system, positioned outside the right edge of the page.

See the attached Finale 2012 document.

Thank you all for your responses. I can use each of these approaches in various situations, and I appreciate your willingness to share.

Thanks,
