I imported an XML from SmartScore.

Its a bass chart. Key of E.

Finale is playing back C#'s as C naturals. And D#'s as D naturals.

If I select the NATURAL accidental and click the note(s), it will fix to C#/D# ... but it would take me hours to go through the chart to do so.

I changed to chart to key of C just to see what would happen...it plays A natural as Ab.

So, the scale is somehow flatting the 5 scale tone.

Not sure how to fix?

Which version of SmartScore? The Pro version, or one of the child programs?

Was the key and pitch correct in the scan editing view?

Smart Score X Pro.

Both the key and pitches are seen clearly in the PDF/TIFF.

Finale imported the Key signature correctly and the pitch. But it's not playing back C#. It sounds a C natural.

Scanning the XML file, I see the pitch set to C rather than C#.

In Finale, if I click the accidental and click the C pitch, it won't add an accidental but it WILL sound a C# if I just click the note once.

I would send that in to both SmartScore tech support, and to Michael Good at Finale.

If you would post a short one page Finale file that shows the problem, maybe some of us could find a way to fix the file so that it plays back and looks correct.
