Things got worse. I uninstalled 25.3 and it corrupted the registry so that Finale 2014.5 isn't recognized for file associations. 2014.5 still works, but double clicking a file doesn't, nor does right-click Open with. MM support answered my complaint to them saying that the problem was introduced in 25.3. Older versions work OK. If the file you try to open is on the C: drive then things work (they say). I've requested a copy of 25.2 to see if it will restore the registry. I fear it may not for 2014.5. I can't even uninstall 2014.5 now. ARGH! Oh well, it's probably time to rebuild my C: drive anyway.

FileTypesMan will work only if there is already sufficient information in the registry. At least that's what I think it needs. I tried to edit/modify the .musx extension and can't. I can't explain why, either.
Ah well. I wonder if the C: thing has anything to do with why JW Lua plugin doesn't work.
