I had to reinstall all my apps on my iMac.

When I open the Instrument List to assign sounds to my staffs, Garritan Instruments for Finale is not in the list.

I have downloaded and reinstalled Finale and Garritan a few times but to no avail.

I see the Aria player but don't see any option for Garritan Instruments for Finale.

please help

I see that you are using 2014. Download and rerun the Finale installer. There's a second installer in the download for Aria/Garritan—do not close the window—run it.

If you're running 2014 and not 2014.5, the current installer will give you 2014.5 but will leave your 2014 copy alone.

Sorry for confusion. I have 2014.5

I have reinstalled from the website 4 times.

Every time I do, when I open Finale i get a warning prompt saying Garritan can't locate data installation.

Did you run the second installer?

If 1 re-installation doesn't change anything, then the chances of further re-installations changing things diminish exponentially!

First of all, where is the GIFF_Samples folder? For Finale 2012 to 2014.5, it's likely to be in the /Applications folder. Other possibilities include in /Users/Shared.
Next, go to the root level Library folder**: /Library/Preferences, and look for the file com.Garritan.Instruments for Finale.plist. Open it in a text editor.
This file tells Finale where to look for GIFF things. Check that the string following the "sample_dir" key is the same as the filepath to the GIFF_Samples folder.

** To avoid argument, the "root level Library folder" is the one at the top level of your system volume, where apps tend to save their files. It is NOT /System/Library, nor inside the User domain.

Unless he only ran the one as his answer and the error indicates.

I'm still thinking that he didn't run the second installer for Aria/Garritan. It's confusing and MM should change that but they haven't.
