The score is in a 3/4 Time.

I'd like to put it in a 6/8 Time, but reducing to half its values. I mean: instead of the 12 measures of the 3/4 time there would be 6 measures in 6/8 time.

When I simply changed the time from 3/4 to 6/8 something different I see on the screen, different from what I intend

I appreciate your help.

There are two steps in this:
- change all note durations by 50 %, - with Rebar Music de-selected
- reducing the number of measures to the half number = going from 12 measures {in 3} to 6 measures {in 6}, - with Rebar Music selected.

The rest measures (in the Oboe staff) could be a problem when you change the time signature.
To “play it safe”, you could change the time signature for only two measures at a time.

I used Jari's JW Meter and Rhythm plugin to change 3/4 to 3/8. I then used the time signature tool to change it to 6/8 (compound meter) and that was it.

In the attached file, I left the rest of the work undone (changing the repeats, for example).

Thank you, Peter and zuill.

Zuill,
I'm afraid that this plugin you mention is not in the Plugs-in menu.
What I see in your attached file is what I am looking for.

Peter,
How do you de-select Rebar Music?
I went to Rebar options but I cannot see that option

The JW plugins are available from the Finale Tips website. They are 3rd party plugins. Jari doesn't charge for them. You can donate to his work, however.

Thank you very much, zuill,

I'm going now to study the page "How to install a plug-in on Windows". I never did it before

zuill,

I've got already installed JW Meter and Rhythm plugin

Could you tell me, please, the steps I must follow now? I can see 6 tasks on the panel

Rebar Music is an option both when you
- change all note durations by 50 % (Utilities menu > Change > Note Durations…)
and when you
- reduce the number of measures to the half number (use the Time Signature Tool)

Thank you, Peter,
I'm going to work on your answer.
....

I did, but it results too complicated, also because of rests.

Thank you very much anyway, Peter, for your time
