I'm afraid I've forgotten if there's a way to set the Time Signature to beam 5 eighths together. I tried the composite TS window but I couldn't find a denominator value which would yield the desired result. It's not a problem to beam everything after the fact but I was just wondering...

Calculation:
5/8 = 0.625

In Other Words:
Set the composite time signature to
0.625
over
1

Rebeam to Time Sig works if you use a larger value than the bar, e.g. 1 dotted minim or a semibreve.

I had no idea you could use a decimal point in a composite time signature!

Actually, the Time Signature Tool is quite powerful.

Here is another way to “skin the cat”:

Fantastic, Peter!

I wonder why 0.625/1 only shows a half note in the graphic.

Just “one of those things”, I guess.

Obviously it qualifies as a (minor) bug in the User Interface.
