In some scores, when I drag staves to move them closer or farther apart, I can still see the notes and everything while I am doing it. In other scores, the notes and everything completely disappear while I am dragging and then redraw when I am finished. This is particularly irritating, since without the notes visible, I am only able to guess about the placement of the staff.

Is there some setting that says "always show... while dragging staves"? I thought I saw that sometime, but I can't find it.

I'd really like always to be able to see everything while I am dragging the staves.

This happens to me a lot, but not so often as to cause great discomfort. Usually, releasing the mouse button and immediately depressing it again clears up the screen drawing.

A known issue. Really scary, but only the first couple of times.

So it isn't strange that it happens only in some scores but not in others?

There must be something that causes it, but as far as I know, the cause hasn't been pinpointed.
