Finale 2017 Mac

I am trying to have a harp and trumpets in C be keyless in a score that has a key signature. Going to the score manager and changing the trumpets to keyless is no problem but for some reason the change to keyless button is not available for harp like it is for the trumpets. It's gray and not available. Help!

(Finale 2017 doesn't exist, I assume you have Finale 25. Please update your profile).
• for the harp (etc...), if the key signature is different, go to Staff Attributes -> Independent Elements -> Key Signature
• then, for the harp staves, use the Key Signature tool to select keyless (via the popup menu).

If you give the harp an independent key signature of C major there's no need for the "hide key signature and show accidentals" business. I've found that feature has problems.

I do this all the time for horns and timpani. If your trumpets are Bb trumpets, set their independent key signature to Bb major. For horns, F major. For harp or timpani, C major. Don't use "chromatic transposition."

I'm more concerned about the statement that Keyless is an option in the Score Manager, which I believe it is not. Would the OP provide a screen shot of that option? I can't find it. I do know of the option to hide the key signature, but not of Keyless. Could that be what the real question is about? If that is the case, that is available for the harp if needed. But, as pointed out, that wouldn't be necessary if the key is C.

To answer Rob's initial question, if you click the triangle to the left of Harp in the name column of the score manager, you'll see the 2 staves that comprise the Harp part. You can then check "Hide Key Signature and Show Accidentals" for each of the 2 staves, separately.

Rob has some decisions to make and how to proceed, as was previously suggested. By the way, what is the difference between "Hide Key Signature and Show Accidentals" and "Keyless"? Both seem the same to me.
