I'm making a chart, and I have each section of the song starting on a new system. This means that at the end of the verse, there are a couple measures I've hidden using the "cutaway" staff style as placeholders, so that the last measure isn't stretched across the whole system.

My issue is that the key changes on the next section and I can't figure out how to show a cautionary key signature on the last measure of the verse, since I guess those are automatically hidden when followed by hidden measures.

Hopefully this makes sense. Happy to explain it further if it doesn't.

A cautionary key change only occurs at the end of a system, hidden measures or not. Perhaps you can achieve what you want by changing the system margin:

Or you could just even out the number of measures, so that the stretch isn't so big. Use the arrow keys to knock down a selected measure or two to the next system, or move the last measure back up to the previous system.

Yeah, I'm pretty particular with how my charts look though, and this section is 5 measures, so there's not really a way to evenly spread them across multiple systems.

This would be a nice addition to Finale, to consider the entire page when respacing.
