Finale 25.3 Mac
If I have multiple staves for violin 1, multiple staves for violin 2 and multiple staves for all the other string parts, how can I set this up to extract all 3 staves for violin 1 and all the multiple stave parts accordingly?

I assume that if you have, let's say, 3 staves grouped for the first violins, Finale is generating 3 separate staves (parts) for the 1st violins. If that's the case, then you need to delete the staff names for each of these staves (Score Manager) and then re-generate the parts. Then, each violin 1 part will consist of the 3 stave group.

You probably don't need staff names anyway. I'd use a group name centered on each group - "Violin 1", "Violas", etc.

Instead of what Finale generates automatically, you can have a part contain whatever you want. Go to "Manage parts" and either create a new part or add staves to the existing violin part. I didn't realize that Finale's automatic part creation was based on staff names, but personally I would do this instead.

Your way works as well. You'll have to add brackets to the new part, though. I find it's easier to just use the brackets as found in the score and delete the staff names, which usually are not needed anyway. Depends on the whole scenario.

Even if you delete the staff name from a staff (to make Finale generate the entire staff group as one part), you can still have the staff name displayed in the score.

The trick is that you can add the staff name back with a custom staff style.
It seems that staff styles do not affect part generation.
