Greetings one and all,

What is the abbreviated staff name one should use for Tubular Bells?

Perhaps T.B., or something different? I don't have much room on the margin, so T.B. would be handy!

Cheers,
Hector Pascal.

Seems good to me. As long as you've spelled it out at the beginning, people will know what it is. (Also called "chimes," but that probably doesn't help.)

T.B. is a common abbreviation for Temple Blocks and might be confusing. In the orchestral world, they're pretty much always called "Chimes," so why not just use that?

That may not be true in all parts of the world. "Tubular bells", however, should be recognized worldwide.

If temple blocks are otherwise not used in the piece, I don't think it's a problem.

T.B. works for me. If there is a situation where Temple Blocks and Tubular bells might be confused (hard to imagine that), one could use T. Blks and T. Bls for clarification.

Finale 25 lists both Tubular Bells and Chimes. The basic Garritan only has Tubular Bells. If I remember correctly.

I always name them Chimes.
