I know I posted about this in the old forums, but I don't remember if I found a solution.
In the attached, if I change the horizontal expression assignment to 10 EVPUs, the result is 20. If I try to then change it to 10, it goes back to zero. I think I even worked out an algorithm for its odd behavior beforfe--it goes twice the distance between old value and new, something like that. It seems to affect expressions with certain kinds of alignment points (like start of time signature and start of music) and not others.
It's unbelievable that such a basic feature has never been tested and found not to work. Is it fixed in V25? Any work-around other then using the half-the-distance formula?

I tried it with 2012 and v25 and the setting sticks - no error.

Happens with 2011 as well. It seems unlikely that it was broken in 2011, fixed in 2012, broken in 2014.5, and fixed in 25, so there must be either a difference in how we're doing it or in our set-ups. I used the default document, by the way, which I haven't altered from what comes with Finale.
