I've just downloaded the newly available 64 bit version of JW Yada Yada tremolo for Finale 25 on Mac (Windows version to follow) from http://finaletips.nu/index.php/download.

Huge thanks to Jari for this.

UPDATE It seems that the Windows version is now available too.

Just downloaded the Windows version, unZipped it, copied it to the Plug-Ins folder, and booted Finale 25.4.1.152 which I also just downloaded. I opened a test with a default set of staves, entered a quarter note of C, a quarter note of E, selected the two of them, then went to the plug-ins and selected the new Yada Yada plug-in. Nothing happens. Nothing. At. All.

How do I make it work?

The plug-in adjusts the position of existing tremolos rather than adding new ones, since it can't know what sort of tremolo you might want.

To give it a real workout, enter 3 stroke tremolos on some whole notes. I've never used the plugin, but the results should be amazing.

It's possible to redefine the tremolo articulations better than they are with out-of-the-box Finale such that this plug-in is not needed much (this involves a separate set for whole notes). Where the plug-in is useful is when there are tremolos on flagged or beamed notes. On the other hand, it's easy to apply it to the whole piece when you're done entering notes and have it fix everything. I don't think it ever does unwanted things.
