Is there a way to combine two half-pages into one, either in Finale or using PDFs?

I'm creating parts from a six-song song cycle for voice, flute, cello, and piano, and several of the flute and cello parts are short enough to only fill a half-page each. In other words, I have one page in which the top half has music on it but the bottom is empty, and another page in which the top half is empty but the bottom has stuff on it. For the sake of page turns and printing economy, I want to combine these two half-pages into one.

Does anyone know a way to do this?

Thanks,

Mark

For PDF, you could cut and paste.

In Finale, look into Score Merger.

Mark,

If I understand you correctly, each of the six songs is a separate Finale document, right?
This also means that one part is six documents, one document for each song, right?
And in one part you are trying to combine two songs on the same page, right?

One way to do it (quick-and-dirty):
Extract the parts, and use the ScoreMerger to merge two part documents (= two songs) into one part document that contains both songs.

Another way:
Use the ScoreMerger to merge all six songs into one Finale document.
With this solution there is no need to extract parts; you can have, and edit, all parts/songs in one document.

Thanks, Peter! Yes, the cycle is six separate documents. Merging them all into one and creating the parts from that sounds like the way to go.

I have not used Score Merger before, so this will be a new experience.
