Finale 2014 , Mac

i've tried to notate this part as 3 diffrent instruments(percussion, log drum, drumset)
-i failled to do cross staff beaming inbetween instruments.

so i tried another method,

i've tried to map out the parts on the "same instrument" but it dosent look good, i cant hide the "high register added barlines" or hide parts of the staff like the composer intended, can someone help?

Out of curiosity, I took the manuscript you sent and made a test file, using the composer's exact notation whenever possible. The cross staffing worked for me - I used the Note Mover Tool in Cross Staff mode. The cutaway portions of the score are accomplished with a Staff Style called "Force Hide Staff (Collapse)". The beaming that is on the manuscript is generally doable with the Special Tools, except for scattered instances that require a little more skill than I have.

I didn't use Percussion staves, so the file does not play back. Do you want playback, or just the notation? Playback should be possible but may be a nightmare to set up.

The file is attached. Let us know more of what you want - there are a lot of experienced folks here who might help. My own experience with this kind of notation is pretty limited.

If I may, a few remarks concerning the French text, which could be corrected and improved, if you have permission to do it :

DEDICACE

CeTTE oeuvre a été composéE pour Joey Roy, à la fin de ses études musicales à l'université de Moncton en 2011.

(finissant en musique : do you mean after he graduated in Music or something else ?)

REMERCIEMENT
...conseils EN rapport (a bit better than PAR)

Cloche de vache (rather than "à" vache).

If you can't change anything, well, it has its charm...

Michel: generally in french-speaking Canada, "finissant en musique" means someone who is in their last year of study.

Ah, good to know, because I was afraid, ehem, that it could mean "dying in music" ;)
