Hi everyone, just wondering if you can have a quick look at the first bar of the attached file. As you can see, there are dots in the piano part in bar 1, and I'm unable to get rid of them, or edit that bar at all. In 20 years of using Finale, I've never encountered this before! This file was created using Print Music 2014, but I've opened it in Finale 2014 and the issue persists.

Any help / insight would be much appreciated!

Thanks

Jared

It was very strange. The pickup measure was set to 3 EDUs. There are 1024 EDUs to a quarter note. I guess 3 EDUs is a dotted 2048th note; with no symbol available for a 2048th rest (9 flags), it just showed the dot.
