Measure Numbers Disappearing
Moderators: Peter Thomsen, miker
I'm trying to figure this out.
When I select on Staff Attributes and select to show Measure Numbers and Repeats on a specific staff, they'll appear.
If I make any changes to the file (delete a staff), the Bass Guitar and Trombone staves will go back to not showing Measure Numbers and Repeats.
I think it MAY have something to do with Groups and Brackets but I don't know how to fix this issue.
I'm having to reprint all my music because the measure numbers and repeats keep disappearing.
Any suggestions?

As stated in the original post ... anytime I delete a staff or add a staff, the Bass Guitar and Trombone staves stop showing Measure Numbers and Repeats.
I have to go back into the Staff Attributes and reselect the options to show measure numbers and repeats.
I assume its because the Bass is nested within a Group/Bracket with electric guitar and the trombone is nested within a Group/Bracket under Trumpet.

There is an item for Automatic Instrument Family Measure Numbers in Preferences. I believe this overrides any customization when editing as you are doing. Try unchecking that option and see if the behavior changes.
