Program not operating normally

Hi fellas and/or gals...

Using a Mac and Finale 2014.5

I've had very few issues with the program, but of late it seems to just lag really badly in response time...

I.E. if using the mass mover tool to hilight a bar for any given reason, or even using the Staff tool, or the Key Sig tool, the bar(s) in question won't hi-lite unless I use the mouse to scroll up or down a touch, or use the update layout feature...never had this issue before...I would think that it was a computer issue in general, but all my other programs seem to be running fine...

Any help is much appreciated...

I'd start by resetting the Finale Preferences:
