I'm working with an arrangement of Winter Wonderland to generate learning tracks. I scanned the original, which is full of dotted eighth/sixteenth figures. That was no problem, and the scan worked perfectly.

However, my director would prefer that I used quarter/eighth triplets, or simply straight eighths with swing, for a smoother sound.

JW Meter and Rhythm has the tools to change eighth/eighth to dotted eighth/sixteenth, but no way to go backwards. I can't use Rhythm Copy, because the measures vary too much, and the tool only works with full measures. I can't copy/paste, because the pitch changes. Does anyone have a solution, rather than stepping through the piece and making the changes note-by-note? (By the time I get an answer, I will have finished doing it that way. But I would like to know for future use!)

Once they are straight eighths, making them swing is a snap.

Jari's plugin can go from straight 8ths to dotted 8th followed by 16th, and back, as needed. I'm not sure why it didn't work for you. Use Reshape Dotted Pattern/Flatten.

Another solution - without plug-in:

Utilities menu > Change > Note Durations…

It is a two-step process to straight eighths.
First, change all dotted 8ths to un-dotted 8ths. (de-selected Rebar Music)
Next, change all 16ths to 8ths. (de-selected Rebar Music)

I’ll try them both. Thanks, gentlemen!

The plug in worked fine. I didn't read the tips well enough, about flattening a single dotted pattern removing the dot. I just read the example.
