Articulations in Rhythmic Notation on bottom?

Very often I"m writing charts with Normal notation and Rhythmic notation.

Why do the articulations move to the bottom of the staff in Rhythmic Notation?

I always have to manually drag them back up to the top of the staff/note and it gets a little annoying.

Is this common composition style to have articulations in a Rhythmic chart be at the bottom of a note?

I'm speaking generally of staccato, accents, et al.

thanks in advance.

The culprit is a setting in the Articulation Definition:
Auto Note/Stem Side

This setting is meant for the cases with two part writing in one staff.
Where there is only one part, the articulation is placed on the note side.
Where there are two parts, the upper part with the stems forced up, the lower part with the stems forced down,
the articulation is placed on the stem side.

In the staff style Rhythmic Notation, all stems are forced down.
Hence the articulations are placed on the stem side.

Workaround:
Edit the Articulation Definition, and choose
Always on Note Side

Instead of having to re-position articulations every time a chart is finished, how is it possible to set articulations in rhythmic notation - in a template - to always appear above the note - and the same of all drum-parts?

You can define each articulation to, always be above the note.

Thanks Peter - but your reply doesn't answer my question.

Normally, I want automatic placement of articulations. However, in rhythmic notation - usually for drum-set - I want the articulations always on the top.

I want to set-up my template so I'll never have to go through the steps to change articulation placement, to the top, for rhythmic notation again -

Make a duplicate set for use with rhythmic notation and set those to "above note."
