dear Forum
What is happening here? Why do my numbers not start on 1 in a new region? I tried setting it up fresh but that doesn't change anything. Allso the font is not what it appears, in region 2 its set to maestro .. It seems finale is not reading what i put in ..
I've put a print below from the screen ..

Welcome to the forum!
Indeed that looks weird, both the measure numbering and the font.
I suggest that you attach a (small) Finale sample document here, for the gurus to examine.
Without seeing an actual Finale document we can only guess.

I deleted the region and created a new one. Sometimes that is the easiest approach. Who knows what happened.

I understand that, but by me it won't, thats the problem. I have done it hundred times before .. I cannot think of anything I've done wrong or different.zuill wrote:It came out as expected.

If you delete all the regions, and start from scratch, and still get wrong behavior, you might have a corrupt preferences file. That's all I can guess. Does this odd behavior happen on all files?

In that case I suspect that the culprit is not document related.vincentvanb wrote:… by me it won't, thats the problem. I have done it hundred times before .. I cannot think of anything I've done wrong or different …
Some things to try:
- Reboot the computer.
- Quit Finale, delete Finale’s Preferences file, and launch Finale again.
- As a test, try a brand new user account on the computer.
Please specify the steps you've already taken, so that we can rule out things.

Look in the current preferences (Edit menu) and see what the path is to Configuration Files. That is where it would be. By default, Windows keeps these folders hidden, so you'll need to allow Windows to show the folder. You can also look for Finale.ini in the Windows search.

There is no preference file in that folder (Configuration files) ..
FINALE.INI is there .. but you don't suggest to delete that I think ...

FINALE.INI is indeed the file. Quit Finale, rename that file to something else, and relaunch. Finale will create a new FINALE.INI with default settings. Then try deleting the regions and re-entering. If that doesn't fix it, you can rename the saved FINALE.INI back.

If recreating the preferences file (FINALE.INI) didn't work, then reinstalling probably won't work either. Looks like you're doomed to an unsolvable bug. I have nothing else to offer.
