Hi,
How can I do this in a correct way ? I found a symbol but it doesn't work (please see attached image)

This font symbol is available in different line thicknesses, maybe try another font?

Or adjust the hairpin line thickness in your Finale document settings.

They are all wider than finale hairpin… is there another method without changing the finale hairpin settings ?

Design your own hairpin end symbol.

I used the same symbol in the music font comparison.
It looks pretty good in most cases though not in every one:

Is the flare at the end supposed to designate "subito"? If so, unknown to me.

In the November2 font the symbol is called "Crescendo Molto (Jazz Style)".

It might be fairly easy to modify this shape with a Font Editor like "Type Tool". If fact, if you have need of other customized symbols to fit your needs it might be advantageous to make your own personal "Maestro Extras" font that contains your modified characters. It's not that hard - I've done it with success on a very limited, unexpert scale.
