Good day all! (I'm currently using Finale 2011 on Windows 7).

I'm trying to notate a 16th note triplet on the third beat of a quarter note triplet. The song is in 4/4. When I attempt this, I end up with a 32th rest after the triplet. I thought theoretically the 16th note triplet is accurate, maybe not? I've attached a screenshot of the measure I'm working on. I tried to simply hide the 32 note rest, but it ended up shifting things in later measures, and created a lot of hassles with measures, so I've now stopped in my tracks. Any suggestions? Thank you, Scott.

Delete the rest, then use the Tuplet tool (not the one in Simple entry) to convert the sixteenth's to a triplet (select 'em first).

The 16th triplet is not correct. Should be an eighth note triplet (3:2 rather than 3:4).
