I am currently looking to order some bulk paper for printing, and I was wondering what the norm is to deal with wonky sizes? Scoring sessions like 11x17, but I know that 9x12, 10x13m and 11x13 all are used in the concert world. Is it better to format to these smaller sizes but just print and cut 11/17? How do you guys deal with this? I am leaning towards getting 11x17 and just cutting them down if needed; at least I'll have have the largest format covered.
I remember having a document from a librarian that specified the accepted paper weights and sizes for scores and parts, but I think it got lost in a move awhile back. I cannot remember what the accepted weights are.

12 x 18 is a standard size you can fold and saddle stitch for 9 x 12 parts. For scores to be bound, you can cut down 11 x 17, but of course that's wasteful. I bought a box of 14 x 20 paper and had it cut in half to 10 x 14 for scores (I usually trim another inch off the length). You may need to buy from a paper dealer rather than some place like Office Depot.

I had not thought of purchasing 14x20 for scores. Odd, I was just looking at the price on 12 x18 to get parts printed. haha I need sleep
Now if only I can remember the weight of the paper.
