Those look interesting but do something completely different. I'm trying to get the active tool switched over via function key. Something that is advertised as a feature and is in the manual but doesn't work unless I'm doing something completely wrong.motet wrote:You might try Plug-ins/TG Tools Lite/Menu Shortcuts instead.

OK, thanks. Where are those saved? Do they save to the document or are they global?motet wrote:You can do that with the TG Tools thing. It's exactly what I do. I used to use the Shift+Fn method of programming but the TG Tools thing is more general.

It just occurred to me that the way Shift+Fn might work is that you select the tool, then press Shift+Fn. If I remember correctly, you receive no feedback, but it does program it. This is a distant memory, anyway.

Ah, ok. I've already set it up in tg tools anyway. TG Tools works better for me because the meta programming is saved within the document which means the hundreds of docs I already have will not respond to the application metatool changes but will to the tgtools since they are global. Now I just have to remember the bindings!motet wrote:It just occurred to me that the way Shift+Fn might work is that you select the tool, then press Shift+Fn.
