"Floating" tremolo beams

In the help files, Finale illustrates a tremolo like this:

When I create one with the Easy Tremolo Plug in, I get this:

With the Break Secondary Beam tool (just a WAG), I get this:

How do I get what's in the first picture?

Easy Tremolos won't do it; full TG Tools will. You can use the Beam Extension Tool to do it manually, after running Easy Tremolos.

You can select all the handles in the measure at once and do the 16th+32nd setting that N shows, then click on them one at a time to actually "extend" them.

If you set the copy filter to copy "special alterations," that might help in doing several measures, but you need to copy the notes themselves, too. If you have a lot, then TG Tools is worth springing for.
