Hi guys,

Is there any way to move multiple staves at once when reorganizing a score? I feel like I am going to pull my hair out moving individual staves at a time in the score manager :(

There's Reorder Staves in the Staff Menu. I don't know what you're trying to do, but it might be easier. You can even move groups if needed.

It doesn't appear to be a feature in 2012, although it is in 25. I guess that is another reason to switch over-- a task that I will leave for when I am finished with my set of projects.

Sorry. Somehow I didn't see that you were using 2012.

You didn't see it, because it isn't in his signature. Consequently, we waste our time and his, giving him inapplicable answers. (hint, hint)

I checked back in versions I have installed.

2011 Reorder Staves
2012 NO Reorder Staves
2014 NO Reorder Staves
2014.5 Reorder Staves
25 Reorder Staves.

I guess I should recall that 2014.5 brought it back after a fair amount of complaining. but I'm not sure that was the case. Can anyone remember?

I apologize for not having it in my sig. I will fix that.

I think this last batch of scores to be done in 2012 before I finally switch everything over. I have both currently on my computer, but it was easier keeping it in the older version since it was the file type sent to me.

MM is fond of moving things around. Are you sure it isn't there somewhere in 2012? Or was it a casualty of the new Score Manager, later remedied?

I think it was omitted when the score manager was introduced. I can't find it anywhere else. I'll look again.

P.S.: Can't seem to find it. As I recall, Reorder staves in 2011 allowed individual system re-order, so that one could make changes where needed throughout the score. When the Score Manager was introduced, and thus Reorder Staves removed, that was no longer possible. When 2014.5 brought it back, the older feature to reorder individual systems was not reinstated. The newer method of creating extra staves and hiding is the only way I know of to do that in the new Score Manager era.

when you export with the Graphics tool, it it the Mac OS or Finale which does the conversion to PDF? Frankly, I wouldn't trust the latter to always do the right thing, based on complaints I've seen.
