Windows 2007 Finale 2014.5

Still working my newbie way through the puzzle of linked parts. The only way to add plug-in numbered repeat measures is in the score, which just looks silly. Any workarounds? Even doing them as a special expression in the parts wouldn't solve it, as there doesn't seem to be a way to do hide them in the score? And there doesn't seem to be a staff style option?

You can make an expression show in the linked part only (and not in the score).

Peter, can that be applied in an expression's Definition? So that it applies to all of them always? I moved all my repeat measure numbers in to their own Expression Definition category. But I can't find a way to globally apply that to an entire definition. Only to those that I group select and right click.

Not sure if the definition works for this. Using a Score List can be an option, but I think that would have limitations (not sure the exact scenario you have to deal with).

You can use Jari's JW Change plugin to change assignment easily. Also, check out Jari's JW Pattern for assigning numbers. I believe that might have the option you are looking for, but I'm not sure.

In the Category Designer you can duplicate the category Rehearsal Marks, and edit the duplicate.

You could e. g. name the new category Repeated Measure Number, and give the new category its own (new) Score List
where only the Parts column is selected.

You can also rename the new Score List, and e. g. call it Parts Only.

(Not all categories have a Score List, but the Rehearsal Marks category does have a Score List)

The reason I mentioned using a Score List is probably not a good idea is that the numbers would show up on all the parts checked in the list. Repeat numbers generally are only on one part or another at a time, but not on all.
