At the very end of a song or if I place a lock on a system, the measures will spread out to fill up the empty space. Is there a way to override this so that the measure width remains intact? If I place a lock on a single short measure, there would simply be a bunch of empty space for the rest of the line. I realize this is kind of weird, but for what I'm working on, it would be nice.
I don't want a fixed width for every measure because some measures have more notes, so they need to be wider. But taking a measure with only 3 quarter notes and spreading it across the whole page is problematic.

Ya, I like the way you did that. You did it manually, right?
The analogous feature in a text document is fully-justified vs left-justified.
I was thinking to somehow put a maximum width to all the measures, but then I run into problems with those giant measures that contain a bunch of 32nd notes, etc.
For now, I guess I'll just adjust each one manually.

Or you could knock some measures down from the preceding system(s) (or knock the measures on the final system up) to balance the measures better.
Music is normally "fully justified", though some situations allow for leaving the last line short.
