Is it possible to select multiple text blocks (and maybe even graphics) as a group with the shift or some other means in Finale 2014.5? For example, I have several text blocks and musical examples as footnotes on a single page and would like to select and reposition them as a unit.

Yes, you can drag-select or shift-select text blocks and then nudge them with the arrow keys. You can't set Frame attributes for more than one, though.

You can also Shift-click to add them to your selection one at a time, in case Click-drag isn't practical. At least on Windows. (With every other Windows program but Finale it's Ctrl-click.)

Thanks, BuonTempi and Motet, that works while being in the Text Tool or in the Graphics Tool, which is a big help. For some strange reason, I was trying to select them all with the Select Tool. It is it correct then that one can't select both Text and Graphics at the same time and move everything together? I might make selection of text and graphics with the Select Tool + Shift a Feature Request over at MM if it can't be done now and anyone thinks this would be good functionality.

Yes, you need to be in each tool and do Text and Graphics separately.

I doubt you'll see the Selection Tool able to select the anchor points of text, graphics (and other things) until all the tools are done away with and we have one unified tool.

Thanks, BuonTempi. Perhaps what is needed is a Selection Tool that has an "edit filter" that allows one to select only the elements desired. This came up in another thread where I mentioned that it is difficult to select an articulation or expression when a smart shape boundary overlays it.
